Droid Deck treats your phone like a gaming machine that fits in your pocket. The point was never to shrink games down; it was to remove the middleman. The DroidDeck APK puts the client, the compatibility layers, and your libraries in one place, and then gets out of the way.
Build notes
v0.4.0 is the current it release. Every guide on this site was tested against this build.
This release adds GOG, Epic Games, and Amazon Games account login alongside Steam, so four store libraries now live inside one app. The native ARM64 Steam client, the Proton layer, and the FEX emulation layer all ship in this build.
File details: APK about 44.4 MB, Android 12 and up, ARM64 only. Download it from the project's GitHub releases; this page links the verified v0.4.0 file directly.
The engine
Droid Deck is an open-source app that runs real Steam games natively on Android phones. It is not a game streamer and not a virtual machine. It ships a native ARM64 Steam client together with Proton and FEX emulation layers, so Windows Steam games install and launch directly on the phone.
Log in with your Steam account and your library is there. Pick a game, install it to your phone's storage, and play it on the device itself. No gaming PC running at home, no subscription, no remote session.
v0.4.0 extends the same idea beyond Steam: GOG, Epic Games, and Amazon Games accounts can sign in too, so more of the libraries you already own become playable on your phone.
this Steam-on-Android app is built in the open by the Droid Deck open-source project on GitHub. The APK on this page is the project's own v0.4.0 release, linked straight from its GitHub releases page.
The setup
The games run on the phone, not somewhere else. Install a Windows Steam game and launch it from your app drawer like any Android game. Once installed, you play wherever you are.
Four stores, one app. Steam, GOG, Epic Games, and Amazon Games accounts all sign in to DroidDeck v0.4.0, so the libraries you already paid for travel with you.
Open source and free. No price, no subscription, no account on our side. The code is public on GitHub and the download costs nothing.
A file you can trust. Elena Rodriguez installed v0.4.0 on a five-phone Snapdragon bench, verified the version and the 44.4 MB file size against the GitHub release, and only then approved the download button.
Honest hardware warnings up front. the software needs a Snapdragon chip with an Adreno 730 GPU or newer. It does not work on Exynos or Mali GPUs. This page tells you before you download, not after.

Verification
Every the software APK we link clears the same verification run before any download button goes live. Elena Rodriguez installs v0.4.0 on five real Snapdragon phones, launches it, signs in to each supported store, installs a game from a real library, and confirms the version and the 44.4 MB file size against the GitHub release.
Download only from the GitHub releases of the Droid Deck project. The button on this page points straight there, so the file you get is the project's own build with nothing added.
Android will ask you to allow installs from your browser. That is a one-time toggle for the browser app, not a system-wide change. Revoke it after installing if you like.
The procedure
Read this once before tapping download. The GPU requirement is the step most people skip, so check it first.
Confirm your phone qualifies. You need a Snapdragon chip with an Adreno 730 GPU or newer. Check your phone's specs; DroidDeck does not work on Exynos or Mali GPUs, and installing it there will only waste your time.
Download the APK from the button above. The file is about 44.4 MB and comes from the project's GitHub releases. Confirm the version reads v0.4.0.
Allow installs from your browser. Open the file, and when Android asks, permit your browser to install unknown apps. This is a one-time toggle, not a system-wide risk.
Install and launch Droid Deck. Sign in with your Steam account first; add GOG, Epic Games, or Amazon Games accounts from the settings if you own games there.
Install a game from your library. Pick a title you own, let it download to your phone's storage, and launch it. Start with a lighter game while you learn the per-game settings, then move to heavier titles.
Upkeep
Install new releases over the old app. Download the newer this tool APK from the GitHub releases and open it without uninstalling first. Your signed-in accounts and installed games stay put.
Never uninstall to update. Removing the app wipes your installed games, forcing full redownloads. An in-place install is always the right move.
Read the release notes. Each Droid Deck release lists what changed. Read it before updating so you know which store logins or layers were touched.
Readiness
Snapdragon with Adreno 730 or newer is required. This is a hard requirement from the hardware the emulation layers target.
No Exynos, no Mali. Phones with Exynos chips or Mali GPUs cannot run Droid Deck. If your phone uses either, this app is not for it.
Android 12 or higher, ARM64. Older Android versions and 32-bit devices are not supported.
Storage and cooling matter. Real PC games are large; keep generous free space and expect demanding titles to warm the phone. Our per-device notes are in the performance guides.
Tested on a five-phone Snapdragon bench. Elena Rodriguez runs each release across current Snapdragon hardware with Adreno 730-class GPUs and newer.

Weighing
Droid Deck is for players who already own PC games and want them on the phone they carry. If your Snapdragon hardware qualifies, the tradeoff list is short: this is your library, running locally, for free.
Debugging
The problems players actually hit, in the order they happen.
Check your GPU first. the app needs a Snapdragon chip with Adreno 730 or newer; on Exynos or Mali hardware the app cannot run. On a qualifying phone, re-download the APK and confirm the file is about 44.4 MB before installing.
Sign in on a strong connection and confirm your account credentials work in a browser first. If one store refuses, the others still work; v0.4.0 keeps each login independent.
Lower the per-game resolution and graphics settings, then relaunch. Some Windows titles need specific Proton settings; free up storage and close background apps before retrying.
Cap the frame rate in the game settings, lower the resolution, and remove the phone case during long sessions. Demanding titles push mobile hardware hard; shorter sessions with cooling breaks help.
Still stuck after these steps? The guides section covers each problem in depth, and the download page checklist walks through a clean reinstall.
